IOT Security Project

Developed an Internet of Things security model that broadens the ecosystem of residents living in Africa by enabling them to add friends and family members to their security system. Designed Flowcharts and system architectures of the security model Developed an autonomous home monitoring device that monitors a given perimeter set by the user and alerts users added in real-time upon security breach. This was designed using Raspberry Pi, MQTT, WebSocket, Private Network, Linux command, Python OOP & packages, OpenCV & Computer Vision Algorithms. Formulated mathematical equations to support the locomotion of the robot. Developed a facial recognition component to detected all users (known & unknown) using OpenCV & Computer Vision Algorithms. Developed UI/UX Designs using Adobe XD. Designed 3d models of the home monitoring kit. Developed admin backend services to support user profile during system malfunction. Designed & Developed 3 web platforms (main user, friends & family members) using PHP Laravel/ Passport, JavaScript, MYSQL, Google Cloud Services, Pusher & Chartjs. Developed & Designed an ecommerce platform to promote sales of the home monitoring kit using PHP Laravel & Sandbox PayPal. Conducted a survey to gather insights from burglary victims as well as find data to support stereotypes regarding security in Africa. Processed data to tell a meaningful story to audience by providing graphs using RStudio, Excel & Statistical Analysis tools.
